Celebrating 13 Years
Happy Birthday, STLS!
As we mark the 13th anniversary of STLS, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve embarked upon since our launching in 2011. It’s crazy to believe how swiftly time has flown (especially this last year) , transforming STLS from a simple garage idea into what it is today. This milestone is not just a celebration of our longevity but a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion that the entire STLS team has poured into this company.
The Start Of STLS
Originally founded in 2011, STLS was my brainchild. I started out as a one-man-band with the idea of providing high quality lighting and sound services – hence the company name STLS (Sam Tullett Light and Sound) . Since then we’ve grown considerably staff wise, but “SDLTTDDDLS” didn’t have the same ring to it!
Our Growth
Over the past 13 years, STLS has seen remarkable growth, not just in our team size but in the scope of our services. Today, our family includes technicians, hire coordinators, project managers, drivers, and a service manager who heads up our newly launched service department. This expansion is supported by an incredible network of freelancers, each of whom plays a crucial role in our success.
Our client base has grown just as impressively, encompassing a wide range from sole traders to multinational corporations. Our offerings have grown to include dry hire, installations, complete live production, sales, and servicing. As we step into our 13th year, it’s clear there’s virtually nothing we can’t tackle, thanks to our talented team.
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate our 13th birthday, our new website has just launched ( please take a look here) and as always we have some huge news and products we are adding into our stock to share shortly but in the meantime, a massive thank you to all those who have helped me to make the business what it is today and happy birthday to us!!
Happy 13th birthday, STLS! Here’s to continuing to supply quality lighting, sound and all the other services we now offer to the live entertainment industry!
Warmest regards,
Sam Tullett – MD
