Looking for a unique way to light up your next event? Look no further than our UV lighting hire from STLS Events!

Our UV blacklight hire range is ideal for creating an eerie and atmospheric vibe, perfect for film sets, theatres or club nights and events. Using ultraviolet light, our blacklight UV hire range makes white objects or surfaces glow brightly, whilst dark colours will appear almost black.

When you hire UV lights from us, we can also provide setup and delivery for events in London, Surrey and other areas within the UK. Just contact our friendly team for a quote and advice tailored to suit your event and requirements.

Within our range of UV lights to hire, all fixtures look dark purple, but most of the light it emits is in the ultraviolet (UV) range of the spectrum, which is invisible to the human eye.

Under UV lights, white clothes, teeth, nails and fluorescent-coloured items glow in the dark and emit a bright glow. This is because they contain phosphors.

A phosphor is any substance that absorbs energy and re-emits it as visible light. Under a black light, phosphors convert the UV light radiation they receive into visible light.

Teeth and fingernails contain phosphors naturally, and many laundry detergents contain phosphor-based optical brighteners designed to give your white clothes that ‘whiter than white’ effect.

Aside from looking amazing for clubs, our UV lighting has many practical uses. In particular, ink that shows up under a UV light is often used on event tickets and banknotes to help detect counterfeits.

UV blacklights are ultraviolet lights largely invisible to the human eye. They make illuminated objects appear to glow in the dark without the light source itself being clearly visible.
