With just a few days’ notice, STLS was called upon to carry out crucial PAT and service testing for Corteo’s lighting, audio, and power distribution equipment. Our team of service engineers flew out to Munich, where the show was wrapping up its European tour leg before heading to London.
Despite the short turnaround, we ensured that all equipment was thoroughly inspected, maintained, and certified for safety—a crucial step in keeping a production of this scale running. Over three intensive days, the STLS team worked efficiently, ensuring that everything was in top condition before the show left Germany.
Final Touches at the Royal Albert Hall
Once in London, our engineers continued their work, making final adjustments at the Royal Albert Hall. The team focused on fine-tuning sections of the lighting rig and the line array sound system on the day of fit-up, ensuring everything was optimized before the first audience stepped through the doors.
This was STLS’s first time working with Cirque du Soleil, and we were honored to be a part of such a world-renowned production. Our team completed all necessary checks on schedule and, as a token of appreciation, was invited to the Friends & Family preview of the show—a truly special moment for our engineers.
Andy, a key member of Cirque du Soleil’s technical team, praised STLS for its professionalism and efficiency under such short-notice circumstances, highlighting our ability to deliver under pressure.
