The E8 is the compact 8″ cousin of the d&b E-Series. Step up to the d&b E12 for a bigger 12″ enclosure with more low-end punch and 300+W handling. The V10P (V-Series) is a smaller cabinet but higher SPL (138 dB peak) for demanding live music. Use the E8 where compactness and coaxial coherence matter most.

Do you hire the d&b E8 with NL4 or NLT4 connectors?
Both variants are available. Specify NL4 or NLT4 when booking. NL4 is the traditional speakon; NLT4 is the newer touring-standard connector.
What amp do I need for the d&b E8?
Pair with a d&b D40, D80, D90, D25 (mobile) or 10D, 40D, 25D (installation) amplifier with the E8 preset loaded. Non-d&b amps can drive the cabinet but the preset is what tunes it correctly.
What’s the max SPL of the d&b E8?
129 dB max peak with D40/D80/D90/D25/5D/25D/40D amps, or 126 dB with the 10D installation amp.
Can the E8 be used as a stage monitor?
Yes. The 90° x 50° horn is rotatable to 50° x 90°, so the E8 works as a floor monitor wedge or as an upright FOH top from the same cabinet.
What’s the frequency response?
62 Hz – 18 kHz at -5 dB standard. Switch to CUT mode for use with a sub and the response tightens to 120 Hz – 18 kHz.
Is the E8 pole-mountable?
Yes. The cabinet has a built-in speaker stand socket, so it drops straight onto a K&M pole or M20 sub-pole.
How many E8s can I run per amp channel?
Up to 3 cabinets per amp channel, subject to venue power. Handy for larger distributed AV installs.
