After a hectic 6 months and constant investments into new products, STLS has taken a large delivery of a of Ayrton Mistral™ S fixtures, expanding its lighting roster with its first-ever Ayrton purchases. The Ayrton line has really impressed us, and we’re excited to get the new fixtures into our clients’ hands: STLS is one of the first companies in surrey to offer Mistral-S. The fact that Ambersphere added Ayrton to their line card means we’ve been able to add Ayrton fixtures to our inventory.” The LED spots can be used universally for a wide variety of event formats, from large open-air stages to gala events. This fits in well with the diverse requirements of STLS.

Mistral-S is a new versatile and fully-equipped LED spot luminaire designed for applications requiring perfect colour reproduction. The ultra-compact fixture has an entirely new LED module using a monochromatic light source calibrated at 7,000K with a native colour rendering index greater than 90 and extremely high TM30 readings, which enables Mistral-S to produce more than 18,000 lumens. Its optics achieve an extremely uniform flat beam that can render images perfectly in all conditions and at any beam angle.

We find the Mistral-S to be “a superior, compact LED profile with a very similar range of functions as its big brother, the Ghibli. We like the form factor, the output and the light quality as well as its close-to-silent operation.”

About The Fixture 

MISTRAL includes a CMY colour mixing system combined with a variable CTO and a seven-position complementary colour wheel for producing an infinite palette of vivid pastels and saturated colours. The effects section includes 16 interchangeable HD glass gobos on two wheels: one rotating wheel with seven positions and one fixed wheel with nine positions. Its continuous dynamic effects wheel can be used in combination with the two gobo wheels to create unique graphical effects. MISTRAL also features a 15-blade iris diaphragm, a five-facet rotating prism, and a soft-edge frost filter as standard equipment. MISTRAL has a highly efficient phase-change liquid cooling system using a heat pipe that includes a particularly effective Silent ventilation mode, designed for studio and theatre applications.
